Deadline January 27th

A reminder to all Maritime Angus Association members that all ad and/or subscriptions for Atlantic Beef must be received by our Maritime Secretary-Treasurer Betty Lou Scott by January 27th.

If you want your farm information to be included in the Maritime Angus Association ad in Atlantic Beef, please forward your information and payment by January 27th.  The cost is $75 and is payable to the Maritime Angus Association.

If you would like to have a subscription to Atlantic Beef through the Maritime Angus Association at a cost of $10, please forward your payment and mailing address to the Maritime Angus Association.  Once again the cheque is to be made payable to the Maritime Angus Association.

2015 Ivomec Angus Futurity First Round of Nominations

We are pleased to announce that there are 15 breeders who nominated cattle for the 2015 Ivomec Angus Futurity first round of nominations.  The Futurity will be held during Old Home Week in August. 

The entry numbers are as follows:

86 cows are nominated with their 2015 calves — 86 cows were also nominated in 2014

17 yearling heifers are nominated — this is up from 16 heifers nominated last year.

6 two-year olds are nominated — this is down from the 14 nominated last year.

The second round of nominations is due May 15, 2015.

Wishing all Angus breeders a safe, healthy and prosperous 2015.

The deadline for the first round of nominations for the IVOMEC ANGUS FUTURITY to be held at Old Home Week in Charlottetown, PE, in August 2015 is December 15, 2014.

PEI angus agm

The PEI angus AGM will be held on Tuesday November 18th at the Clyde River school ( women's institute building) at 7:30pm.

The NB AGM will be held Saturday November 29th at the Fredericton AG research station at 11am.

Maritime Angus AGM date

Maritime angus association AGM will be held Sunday November 30th.
Location: Bridge adult services, 16 station street, amherst, ns
Time: 1030 coffee, meeting starts at 11am
Lunch: potluck. All breeders please bring something to share
