Crossbred Bull For Sale

Angus-Simmental (half blood) four-year bull purchased from the U2 Ranch in High River Alberta.  The bull has a good temperament, but is not halter broken. His birth weight was 90 lbs and Adj 365 1,264 lbs.  He weighs about 2,200 lbs.  If interested phone 902-330-0458/902-651-2210.

Condolences to the Mutch Family

The PEI Angus Association wishes to express its condolences to Ernie & Joanne Mutch of JEM Farms on the passing of Joanne's mother, Ruth Bell.  Condolences as well to her grandchildren Julie Mutch (Derek Weeks) of DJ Farms and Stephen Mutch (Jennie) along with their children Meredith & John of Mutch Farms.

The Canadian Junior Angus Association's National Junior show is returning to the Maritimes for the first time since 2009 , and for the first time ever it is being held in Nova Scotia. Make your way over to the Agridome in Truro, NS July 28-30 to meet some of the finest young Angus breeders in the country!

IVOMEC ANGUS FUTURITY – Second Round of Nominations

Thirteen Angus breeders have nominated 53 cattle for the second round of nominations for the 2016 IVOMEC Angus Futurity.  The Futurity will be held during the PEI Provincial Exhibition Old Home Week celebrations in August.  Show schedule details TBD.
The nomination numbers are as follows:
36 calves
13 yearling heifers
4 two-year old cows

The third round of nominations is due July 18

National Angus Convention 2016, hosted by Quebec Angus Assocation

Convention this year is hosted by Quebec Angus in beautiful Quebec City.


Convention will kick off with the President’s reception in the evening of Thursday, June 9th.


Friday, June 10th is Cattlemen’s Connection Day where you will hear from some great speakers and be able to tour some different locations then wrapping up with a delicious supper.


Saturday, June 11th is the Canadian Angus Annual General Meeting and formal banquet followed by the fifth Building the Legacy Sale.

2016 OHW Angus Futurity

Fifteen Maritime breeders nominated cattle for the 2016 Old Home Week Ivomec Angus Futurity first round of nominations.

The entry numbers are as follows:

80 cows are nominated with their 2016 calves — 86 cows were nominated in 2015.

19 yearling heifers are nominated — this is up from 17 heifers nominated last year.

10 two-year olds are nominated — this is up from the 6 nominated last year.

The second round of nominations is due May 16, 2016.
