Old Home Week History
2012 is the 125th anniversary of the PEI Provincial Exhibition and to commemorate the event the current exhibition board is compiling a history of the Ex. Our Association has been asked to supply information about the history of the Old Home Week Angus show, but if you have any photos, newspaper clippings, prize lists, catalogues or personal stories relating to your family's history with the Exhibition in any category (beef dairy sheep swine horse crafts flowers, horse races or other) that information would be appreciated. Any info you have about when the Angus show actually started and who the earlier exhibitors were would be very useful.
The plan is that the book would be launched at OHW 2012, and the materials need to be assembled by early March.
If you have any items that could be used in the book Hilda Colodey can collect, copy/scan and return them.
Please contact Hilda by email or call 902-675-3171 if you have anything that will help out with the OHW book.
