Bannockburn Valley Farm Donation to the Debbie Sanderson Benefit Auction

Bannockburn Valley Farm of Clyde River, PEI has donated a halter broken bred heifer to the Debbie Sanderson Benefit Auction being held on April 2nd in Cornwall, PEI.  The heifer is Bannockburn Valley Pride 34W.  The April 14th/09 heifer is sired by HMF Triumph 4S and was exposed beginning on September 27th to JS Kodiak 1T.  Here is a link to her pedigree.  This heifer was shown by Dereck Sanderson at the 2010 Maritime Junior Angus Field Day in Nova Scotia.

A fundraising event is being held to raise money for Debbie Sanderson who requires a double lung transplant. Debbie is the wife of Randy Sanderson of Spud Island Farms in Cornwall, Prince Edward Island, Canada. Randy and Debbie have 3 children, Tricia (1st year university), Jaclyn (grade 12), and Dereck (grade 10) who are involved in the 4H program showing market steers and heifers as well as showing Simmental cattle.

Randy and Debbie will be moving to Edmonton, Alberta, Canada in mid April so Debbie can be close to a hospital that specializes in this type of transplant. The distance between Edmonton and Cornwall is almost 5000 kilometres or a little over 3000 miles.

For more information on the Debbie Sanderson Benefit Auction, there is an event created on facebook listed as Benefit Dance and Live Auction for Debbie Sanderson.
