2014 Ivomec Angus Futurity First Round of Nomination Entries
We are pleased to announce that there are 17 breeders who nominated cattle for the first round of nominations for the 2014 Ivomec Angus Futurity to be held in Charlottetown in August. The breeders represent all three Maritime provinces.
The entry numbers are as follows:
86 cows are nominated with their 2014 calves — this is up from 73 nominated last year.
16 yearling heifers are nominated — this is down from 25 nominated last year.
14 two- year old cows are nominated — this is up from 6 cows nominated last year.
The second round of nominations is due May 16, 2014.

2014 Ivomec Angus Futurity Classic Rules



2014 IVOMEC ANGUS FUTURITY CLASSIC

All entry fees must be received by December 13th, May 16th and July 18th.



Late entries or payments will not be accepted, entries will automatically be disqualified!
 
 



·         All animals must be Maritime bred and owned but not necessarily by the same person.
·         Calves must be born on or after January 1st.
·         If an animal is sold, the new owner may continue payments and show the calf.
·         There is no limit to the number of nominations, however only two animals/class/exhibitor will be allowed.
·         If you have embryo calves, you must enter the recipients cows in December and please note that they are embryos and the tattoo of the natural mother.
·         First and Second payments must be paid on all animals in order to be kept active for next year. The third payment is for animals that will be showing in 2014.
·         No substitutions.
·         Registration papers must be shown (before the show).
·         Yearling heifer class will be made up from heifer calves shown in 2013 only or calves that all premiums have been paid up and on time.
·         2-year-old heifers with calf will be made up from yearling heifers shown in 2013 or yearlings that all premiums have been paid up and on time.
·         You must nominate your two-year-old in the December calf nomination as a cow if you wish to show her calf in the 2014 heifer/bull calf class as well as nominating her in her own class.
·         Bull calves will be genomic tested using the Zoetis 50K test. Please order the DNA kit at www.cdnangus.ca/main_page.htm .  The cost is $55 + HST/animal until March 31, 2014.
The 50K results will be used to determine the final placings of the bulls.
