Deadline is Tomorrow

Prince Edward Island Angus Association Gold Show Honoree(s)
The 2011 Angus Gold Show at Old Home Week will be named in honor of an individual or farm that has made significant contributions to the PEI, Maritime, and Canadian Angus Associations.
To the nominating committee or individual:
Clearly outline the nominee's contributions to the Angus breed without allowing the submission to become repetitive and lengthy. Please do not include pictures or newspaper articles.
A complete nomination should contain:
Part 1: A maximum of one page introduction to the nominee.
Part 2: A summary may be point form of the nominee's involvement in the Angus breed. This can include volunteer commitments, show results, sale information, et al. Describe the nominee's involvement, impact, initiatives and achievements in and with the Angus breed at the local, provincial, national and international level. Include approximate time period if possible.
Part 3: A letter of support for the nominee from the nominator. Please outline the nominee's leadership, participation and impact in Angus involvements and organizations. Include dates and responsibilities if possible.
Please note, all or part of the nomination package may be used in written form and may also be used by the show announcer at the time of the show.

It is the responsibility of the Board of Directors of the PEI Angus Association to select the individual or farm to be honored. All nominations will be kept for consideration for future show honorees.

Mutch Family Receives 50 Year Canadian Angus Association Award

The Mutch Family of Earnscliffe, Prince Edward Island recently received their 50 Year Award from the Canadian Angus Association.

At the 2011 annual general meeting of the Canadian Angus Association held recently in Clear Lake, Manitoba, two Maritime Angus families were recognized for having contributed "50 years of commitment and dedication to the Angus breed in Canada."
Congratulations to the William Pryor family from Centreville, NB and the Frank Mutch family from Earnscliffe, PE.

Current Old Home Week Schedule


As of right now below is the schedule for the beef shows at Old Home Week in Charlottetown.
The judge for all open shows is Francis Gagnon.  The futurity show judges will be announced soon.
The open Angus show begins at 9 am on Friday, August 19th followed by the open Simmental show.
The Commercial show begins at 9 am on Saturday, August 20th followed by the Hereford and then the Shorthorn show.  The Angus Futurity will take place at the same time as the Shorthorn show.
